To channel Homer Simpson: MMMM...DOH-NUT... When KKD puts up the "hot and fresh" sign, run to your nearest Krispy Kreme. I have yet to see another donut shop sell donuts right out of the donut maker. It's like eating crack in the shape of a donut. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. :-)

I am addicted to Krispy Kreme donuts....unashamed of it......and when they put on the HOT NOW sign, just get in line with everyone else.....and get at least a dozen, some coffee, pull over and stop in a parking lot close by.....eat as many as your tummy can hold. They are so delicate you can hardly hold them in your hand, don't worry about that part, just get them to your mouth somehow !! lol Trust me, you will not want to stop !! They are probably the most guilty pleasure I have [actually I have NO guilt whatsoever about it } UPDATE: On a recent trip here, was very disappointed to get very small donuts, and they just seemed to lack the airy lightness of previous visits.....What changed?? The photo pictured of the nine donuts is representative of the size we got, really small.......and they are pretty pricey for this small a donut !!! We have a home in Maryville and have discovered a little place there that beats Krispy Kreme hands down. Glad we found it, because we love good donuts. I will probably go back here to see if the last visit was just a fluke.....but will not be eager to do so.

it's a doughnut. For the quality or lack of it I've had better compared to the price point. It's not VooDoo in Portland OR, or Circle M in Wichata Falls. All the Krispy Kreme locations in our area closed due to lack of sales. Maybe this one is open in an area that the clientele don't or haven't had quality before. And it is a tourist area. Just like Pauls Deens FK, it's a food fad place. Nothing special.

Stopped here heading out of town with my wife for our honeymoon. Friday at 9am. No line at all and the "hot" sign was on. I've never had a bad doughnut from Krispy Kreme and this was no exception. Hot, delicious, melt in your mouth doughnuts are what you can expect from a lovely place such as Krispy Kreme.

I never thought that I'd find a better Krispy Kreme than the one in Myrtle Beach, SC. I almost had a 'foodgasm' when I bit into that donut! It was warm and melted in my mouth. We loved them! Taste testers included my husband, two teens, and our 7 yr old. My kids are not big donut fans but also said "these are best donuts ever!" The drive-thru was a 30 minute wait; but it was during Spring Break so that could be why. I'd wait that long again for those donuts.

It's Krispy Kreme. Need I say more? Most of our donuts tasted pretty fresh with the exception of the glazed crullers. Cashier was grouchy but maybe it's because we were in diabetesland? My husband and I took our dozen doughnuts and gleefully tasted each of the kinds we chose. Can't beat the classic glazed! The shop is classic in style-sleek stainless steel 50's style exterior and minimal interior with full view of the donut-making process. Good experience overall.

They have plans to build a second Krispy Kreme Doughnuts here in Pigeon Forge soon stated an employee here. I think this is the busiest Krispy Kreme in the South. It doesn't matter if you come during the day or late at night, there will be a long line. I never use the drive thru here because there is such a long ridiculous line. I park as close as I can and come inside to get my doughnuts. I usually get 1 dozen glazed and 1 dozen assorted. I like to get them fresh out of the oven as they just about melt in your mouth and are so good.

Avoid during the day. They make the donuts after 6:pm and what you get during the day is the same as a gas station boxed donut. If your looking for day old donuts go to any store and buy a box. Don't wast your time here. In my town they make them all day everyday and usually give you one right off the glazing line to eat when placing an order. That's when they are at their best after that their just plan boxed donuts.

As you drive up towards this particular Krispy Kreme, you will wonder why traffic is moving so slowly, even on a middle-of-the-week day when there's nothing going on in town. In actuality it is likely because the "hot" sign is on - and traffic is literally backed out of the parking lot and down the rightmost lane, with everyone giving a signal so you just know they're in line. This place is obviously doing something right. If you like hot, sugary glazed, melt-in-your-mouth goodness, my friends, this is the place to go. If you are in Pigeon Forge for Rod Runs, Hot Rod Weekend, Smokey Mountain Fireworks for the 4th, a guys' trip, a girls' weekend, a family vacation, no matter the reason, you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't stop in while the light is on. Even if you have to wait in traffic. Even if you get yelled at by the guy you refuse to let jump you in line. Yes. They're that good.

It has been a family tradition for some years that we've been coming to this Krispy Kreme. We always wait for the 'donuts are hot' sign to come on. If you come here when they're cold, you don't get the same experience or donut we've come to love. This time around we ordered a dozen glazed donuts. We are simple people, so we don't need all that extra stuff. Plain donuts does the trick and we get our sugar fix. Extremely delicious and fresh quality is what you'll get here at this location. I'm such a sucker for Krispy Kreme and this is where it all started.

I am big Kristy kreme fan but this location needs an upgrade. Tiny building. No inside seating. No display case for donuts. No where to park. No where to eat donuts.

It pains me to write this review because all I'm thinking about are those hot, melt in your mouth donuts with the sugar glaze.......gahhhhhhhh we stayed right across the street from this place (dammit) and the light was always on (dammit x2) so let's just say we made more than one trip. When the light is on, I don't care how fast you are driving, I don't care if you use your blinker, I don't care if you are in the left lane, you slam on your breaks and you drift into that parking lot and order a couple of dozen of donuts. Just do it. (But don't take anyone out in the process, they would probably understand afterwards, but still)

In the spirit of Krispy Kreme's weird spelling issues (crispy is krispy, doughnut is antiquated, caffeinated is caffinated, etc.), I will write this Yelp review in the same vein. This Krispy Kreme iz the best place to get a donut in Pijun Forge/Gatlinburg. I went in there, and mentioned Dunkin' Donuts, and the woman said, "How dare you mention that in here!" I concurred. Krispy Kreme is a hallowed donut faktory, an American tradition, a blessing on the tongue and to the nose. The people there wear funny hats, the menu is symple and straightforward, and there's a friggin conveyor belt of donuts in the back. This is dedication. When in Krispy Kreme, the establishment is utilitarian, the staff is Norman Rockwellian, and the donuts are (almost) perfect. After burning those calories in the Smokies, hit the drive-threw and get a Boston Kreme as it should be.

not that much to say here - hasn't everyone had Krispy Kreme by now - but the regular donuts when they are hot and fresh (watch for the "hot donuts now " sign to be lit - are unbeatable. You can eat 4 in about 2 minutes, 6 if you are really hungry.

I love Krispy Kreme and this one does not disappoint. We showed up at 9 pm and the lone was out the door and the drive thru line into the adjoining parking lot. Popular place for a reason. The TSA agents probably wondered why I had 2 dozen KK in my suitcase, but since they didn't try to confiscate them for their own coffee break, it was all good. When the hot now sign is lit, go for it!!

First time to a Krispy Kreme shop...I know, I know. But we don't have one near my house, so I've never had a fresh one before. All I can say is wow! I thought I liked these doughnuts when I was buying a box of them at my local grocery store, but these hot and fresh doughnuts, mmm! They taste fried, but not the greasy bad kind of fried--the hot, delicious, carnival smell, fresh bread yeast smell, sugary glaze kind of fried. Soooo good. And they really do melt in your mouth. Amazing.

Very cute krispy Kreme. Also employees. One girl who was at the register was having a blast and making sure everyone was taken care of. If you have a donut craving go here and fill it. Very nice place!

Amazing.

it's a doughnut.

This has to be the best Krispy Kreme ever! I have NEVER gotten doughnuts from KK which were so fresh. This place was quick. The layout of the building was great. I also must say I have never seen a Krispy Kreme sooooooooo busy. They must be doing something right.

The line is ridiculous, but well worth the wait! This is the first time I've ever eaten a doughnut. And I felt so guilty doing it but it was so damn good!!! Lol

Still amazing. Turns out a Thursday night during the first week of February equals hot donuts with NO waiting! Tastes wonderful as usual.

You can't go on vacation without getting Krispy Kreme doughnuts! Me and my family have been getting doughnuts here for years! Especially when there hot fresh sign is on! Don't miss out on some delicious doughnuts paired with a ice cold bottle of chocolate milk!:)

I wish they made chocolate cake glaze donuts. However I love this place it's super old school and I like it a lot

Very good who doesn't love Krispy Kreme? Had to make the stop while visiting the only con was the line was a little long but well worth it. I wish they had more coffee choices.
(4)Brent A.
not that much to say here - hasn't everyone had Krispy Kreme by now - but the regular donuts when they are hot and fresh (watch for the "hot donuts now " sign to be lit - are unbeatable. You can eat 4 in about 2 minutes, 6 if you are really hungry.

I love some hot krispy kreme donuts! If you've never had them, you are missing out.

Best Doughnuts Ever! Nothing like pulling up to the drive through window and smelling fresh doughnuts aroma wafting through the air. Can't go wrong here.
